Sharon Stone will host our Nov. 4th red carpet VIP Awards screening of the remarkable and relevant film Kurmanjan Datka Queen of the Mountains, about a strong willed and courageous woman who saved her nation when the Russians invaded. It is the first time that Kyrgyz people in Los Angeles are able to view a film at the cinema in their native language.
As Kyrgyzstan’s submission for the 87th Academy Awards Foreign Language Film category, the red carpet VIP reception will have special Datka Vodka cocktails, caviar, champagne and blini station and hors d'oeuvres, the film’s director, its star Elina Abai Kyzy, VIP’s from the Kyrgyz Embassy and our other special guest celebrities. Following the reception, Stone will lead a special introducing of the film.
