The relationship between Cubans living in Cuba and the ex-pat Cuban community in the United States has not always been amicable, and although the physical distance between the two communities is short, the philosophical distance sometimes seems unbridgeable. Cuban-American entrepreneur Hugo Cancio is seeking to bridge that gap with a magazine and project called 'On Cuba' , which provides news and information that is pertinent to all Cubans, regardless of their views or where they live. For years the Miami Cuban community was completely in favor of the economic blockade of Cuba, but now many see the changes in Cuba under its new administration, and have changed opinion. Through 'On Cuba' , Cancio hopes to break down the walls and barriers that have been built over the years and begin to repair the damaged relationship between the two communities, one individual at a time. teleSUR
