Divine Mother on your tiger, fortify my heart
slay demons of ego, with your ten arms thwart.
Let your left eye control my greatest weakness-
desire, the right spur me on to righteousness.

Goddess Durga, whose middle eye of knowledge
central, align, alight my path on a road to virtue.
With all the peoples of the world I meet in tutelage
I am in your bosom drowning, for breath anew.
