If you love me true
These you would do:

If you love me, you would buy me a nice car
Then I will love you, more than who you are

If I bought you a nice car,
And adore you like a movie star
Would you say, "I do? "
Would your love be true?

If your love is true, let's holiday some places afar
Then I will love you, more than who you are

If I took you to places far
From Hawaii to North Alaska
Would you say, "I do? "
Would you then, love me true?

If your love is true, you would settle my current debts
Then I'll love you, be deeply indebted; have no regrets!

If I were to settle all your debts
Paid your grocery bills, get you set
Would you say, "I do? "
Would then your love be true?

If your love is true, then get me a nice apartment to stay
I'll know your love is true; my love for you will never sway

If I got you a nice apartment to stay
Comfortably furnish it, did it your way
Would you then say, "I do? "
Would you then love me true?

If you love me you would, meet my needs
I will then know your love, expressed in deeds

If I had met all your needs, through all my deeds
But never, my love needs: you are selfish, indeed!
If you didn't love me for who I am
Love is lost, relationship is a sham!
If I slipped into your finger a wedding ring
I would condemn myself to life-long suffering!
Perhaps, I'd die of a massive heart attack,
That my dear, for sure, would be a fact!

True love is not conditional
Neither it's barely emotional
Nor is it used to love things
True love grows: inheritance it brings!
