A Playthrough of the FreeSpace 2 Modification Luyten Civil War released by TopAce in 2012 on Insane Difficulty by Novachen.

During our attack on Mining Station XX23 we were stopped by the GTD Albertine. After a month of other operations, we are returning to XX23 to perform our initial mission finally: To capture the Mining Station.
Hints:
Attack Gemini wing after the start of the mission and then do not try to disarm the station. Instead wait for Leo wing, which consists of GTF Hercules. Attack and try to destroy them before they are able to bring your wingmates down, because you will need them later.
After the first wave of Leo is down, destroy some turrets on XX23 until the next wave arrives. Attack them again to support your wingmates.
After this wave is down, continue your disarming of the station until all turrets are destroyed.
Now fly to your cruisers and support them against the Hercules, but do not attack the Liepzig, they can handle the station without a problem.
Fend off the incoming attack, you can perform a Bonus objective if you are able to destroy Aries' Bombers all by yourself. It should be no problem with Trebuchets, but take caution about the fighters, they can be very dangerous on higher difficulty and you will help your wingmates more, if you also attack the Ulysses first. But you can try it to intercept the Bombers first to perform the Bonus Objective.
After you fend off the attack, a wing of Ezechiels arrive. But they should not be a big threat if some of your wingmates are alive and you also stay close near the cruisers.
Both cruisers will withdraw after the Albertine arrived. Ignore your Directives, do not attack the Albertine's engines and also order your wingmates to stay away from the destroyer. Wait instead for the Ineichen which starts from the station and intercept it, to kill it. Because Major Kemmler is on Board. Give the traitor what he deserves.
After that, wait for the end of the mission. This mission will end automatically in a cutscene.
