This short movie in songs comprises of videos compiled me. It portrays the sad love story of Madhubala and Dilip Kumar.
The video has crossed 60,000 views on Youtube which is banned in Pakistan. I am releasing it on DM to facilitate my friends in Pakistan.
The love story in the songs goes like this:
“He came to visit a scenic valley, and saw a beautiful and innocent girl sitting on the bank of a water channel. Falling into her love on the first sight, he failed to find her.
Besieged by her love, he started singing songs longing for her. Overhearing such yearning songs, even without seeing, she developed a compassion for him.
Eventually, they found and started meeting and loving each other. She fell into a very deep love with him.
With the feelings that he might leave, she requested him to remember the nights, ambiance, rain and cherished time they spent together, even if he had to forget her.
She spent a night with him outside her home. Her father discovered their relationship and threatened him to leave the valley immediately.
Leaving her in distress and agony, he was forced to depart from the valley,
She cursed herself for the intense love for the person who deserted her in misery and anguish.
She waited for him days and nights, but he never returned. She desperately longed for his return lest she might die.”
(In his separation, she became critically ill, and passed away to the heavens).
The love affair of Madhubala and Dilip Kumar was of melodramatic proportions with many ups and downs. It was like a Bollywood script for a romantic movie. Like Madhubala's family, Dilip Kumar was also a Pathan. Her love affair with Dilip Kumar started when she was only 17 years old. Her father Attaullah Khan stood between her and Dilip Kumar. Khan started to worry that if Madhubala got married to Dilip Kumar, he would lose the financial cushion that Madhubala offered to Khan's entire family as she was the sole breadwinner for them.
The elder Khan was against any relationship between Dilip Kumar and Madhubala as she had just started to earn huge amounts of money for her film roles. Both Dilip Kumar and Madhubala had to take extreme care to keep their rendezvous hidden from the watchful eyes of Attaullah Khan. But Dilip Kumar would not take it any more. He felt it was a huge imposition. Because of these differences between Dilip Kumar and Attaullah Khan, the love affair was doomed to fail.
