With midnight far behind and gleams increase,
Sunrise hints of impending breaking out,
The night almost finished ending its lease,
As now alarmed roosters begin to shout
Of dawn, while Yesterday floats downriver,
And sands of Time unload from Future's quay,
Moments that now encroach on Forever,
And crop Eternity of one more day;
But promises that need tomorrow's light,
To gild each dawn with lustrous hopes and dreams,
Could give a very miserable plight,
Once morrows come empty of sweets and creams;
.......The dawn that makes all aspirations bloom,
.......Could also bring forth truth that spells of gloom.
