In nineteen ninety two
I gave my heart to you.
The bus was running late,
For your homecoming date.
Your car had broken down,
So you hitched a ride to town.
Police found you in a ditch,
You weren’t wearing a stitch.
On life support I’m bound,
In the same room you are found.
You can have a fresh new start,
When I give you my heart!
Two blinks of eyes are passed
For yes when the doctor asked.
I know I am sinking fast,
This act shall be my last!
No greater love I’ve heard,
As taught us from His Holy Word,
Is the Valentine inside we do,
When I give my heart to you!
