The wind whispers its secrets - to those who wish to hear
The willow dances silently - shivering in fear
As things that were predictable – replace the things we know
The questions and their answers - lie in a quid quo pro
While no one was watching - the lemmings formed a line
Marching up the mountain - not noticing the climb
Each in turn they take the step - leaping to the sea
Acting without forethought – a human destiny
The wind screams out in horror – churning in the skies
The willow stands a hollow shell – weeping as it dies
Everything that might have been – is lost to human greed
The Earth a vacant wasteland – a chilling thought indeed
