Oprah, wow! You did it Girl, the things no one could do.
You walked the walk and talked the talk, to make your dreams come true.

You never listened to the lies that told you what to be.
You hearkened to your drummer and scored a symphony.

As you've grown, you've changed our lives, in things that you've expressed.
You've made the world a better place, with subjects, now addressed.

You never sugarcoat the truth, to speak it is your cross.
You say what's right and righteous, and with it bare the cost.

What race are you? You're human, and running out in front,
To lead the world to understand, we must earn what we want.

You shine in your example, while reaching for your stars.
And when you speak you show the world, you know just what we are.

Green or striped, we are alike, we all bleed red and die.
We love our friends and family. We're born, we laugh and cry.

All of us together, at home on mother earth.
All of us God's children and each of us with worth.

So Oprah, know, you did it Girl! The love is clear in you.
May each of us aspire now, to follow in your shoes.
