Well I never deserved the treatment that you meted out to me today
A caustic reply for the favours I showered on you night and day
you teach me once again the worldy way
not to start flowing in the emotional sway
A hard lesson I need to learn
in the ungratefulness of your beahaviour I must burn
Do good and good will be showered on you
Is what the sages say
but surely that does not seem to be working O Lord
should pain and sorrow be my reward?
how do I trust anyone when friends betray
the one I trust to lead takes me astray
When I tell this story to one and all
will anyone ever trust a friend at all
kindness and selflessnes all no longer virtues
and I lie lonely in my room feeling the might blues....
O God tell me should I seek revenge
and the insult you inflicted on me to avenge
Eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth
Is that the world and its only truth?
