What shook the stage, left people to stare
Ah, luckless poet! stretch your lungs and roar
From heads to ears, from ears to eyes
To know the poet from the man of rhymes
Let me for once instruct the times
Who pants for glory, shall desist from reading poetry
The silly Bard grows fat and is forgotten
And leaves a sensless worthless crowd
With little or no reward
