Francis Duggan - Nice People

Nice people not known for to put others down
Or be racist to anyone black, white or brown
And others of their achievements they never try to impress
We need more of their type and of the not nice less.

For the top job in town they do never compete
Nice people are always a pleasure to meet
Behind a false ego they never do hide
With life's little blessings they are satisfied.

Not known to be judgemental in any way
And harsh things of others they never do say
Untouched by conceit and unburdened by greed
Far more of their type in the World we do need.

Of the greatness within them they are unaware
And sad to think their sort are becoming rare
The arrogant and conceited you meet everywhere
And millions of them in the big World out there.
