Jury selection has begun in the trial of Abu Hamza al-Masri.

The one-eyed, handless radical cleric is accused of conspiring in a 1998 kidnapping in Yemen that resulted in the deaths of four tourists.

He's also accused of trying to set up a jihadist training camp in Oregon - and of raising money to send militants to train in Afghanistan.

More than 200 prospective jurors had filled out questionnaires to determine if they could be impartial in the case.

On Friday, the judge dismissed 86 people.

Abu Hamza says he is innocent, and has indicated he plans to testify in his own defense.

He faces life in prison if convicted of the most serious charges against him.
