The LEGO Movie Videogame review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of The LEGO Movie Videogame for the Xbox 360 developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros. Interactive.
Based on the popular 2014 film, The LEGO Movie Videogame is the rarest of things—a movie game that’s actually good. In fact, it’s really just another in the long-running series of LEGO games. It just happens to be based on a LEGO movie. The game follows the plot of the movie pretty closely, featuring actual video clips from the film for cut scenes. The LEGO universe has been divided by the obsessive-compulsive orderliness of President Business, and only Emmet can restore proper LEGO disorder. Doesn’t hurt that Batman is there, too. The LEGO Movie Videogame features gameplay similar to previous LEGO games, allowing players to smash objects, collect LEGO pieces and build LEGO creations to help them on their way. Some characters are even master builders, who can make stuff from pieces that aren’t even broken. The LEGO Movie Videogame is a single and multiplayer game and is available on several platforms.
This video review features video gameplay footage of The LEGO Movie Videogame for the Xbox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
