After the success of 'Shootout At Wadala', Sanjay Gupta is all set to make another crime-thriller movie. Titled as 'Mumbai Saga', the filmmaker is now much geared up to make an epic crime saga. It's a film filled with action, drama, deceit, betrayal, power-play, politics, crime, cops, gangsters and real life incidents.
According to sources, Mumbai Saga based on a real-life gangster of the 80s and the 90s, who changed the skyline of Mumbai. Actor John Abraham, who played the role of gangster Manya Surve in 'Shootout At Wadala', will be playing the role of gangster again here.
He will be shown from the age of 22, where he was just a vegetable vendor, to the age of 45, when he turned into a narco smuggler and the gang-lord of Mumbai who ruled the businesses of drugs, arms and real estate.
Actors like Anil Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee has also been roped in this Sanjay Gupta's film. Interestingly, Anil will be seen enacting the role of a leader of the ruling political party back then, apparently Bal Thackeray, who was no less than the tiger of Mumbai's jungle.
Well, seems like a very interesting subject and project!
