A 25-year-old Japanese woman was killed by a train midnight Thursday while looking for her elder sister's pet cat on the Yokosuka Line in Hodogaya-ku, Yokohama, according to a Friday report in the Yomiuri Shimbun.

The victim, Natsuki Miyata, is said to have climbed a concrete fence with her 27-year-old sister and walked onto the train tracks while looking for the pet cat. She was hit by a regular train travelling between Higashi-Totsuka and Hodogaya Stations. She was immediately sent to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
