Amanda Knox who with Italian Rafaelle Sollecito have had guilty verdicts for the murder of Meredith Kercher against them reinstated has been speaking on coast to coast television in the US.

The twenty-nine-year old who heard the verdict in her home in Seattle said she will fight any attempts by Italian authorities to extradite her.

“I will never go willingly back to the place where I….. I am going to fight this until the very end and it’s not right, and it’s not fair and I am going to do everything I can. Granted I need a lot of help,” she said on ABC’s Good Morning America.

The Kercher family has said it wants to see Knox extradited who was freed and returned to the US in 2011 when the original verdict from 2009 was overturned. Sollecito remains in Italy.

“I guess on the outside it looks like they are in a strange position where they are convicted but on the other hand seemingly free on a day-to-day basis. But, you know, they are living through this as well, this is going to be wearing on their mind until next spring and as I say we’ve obviously discussed the extradition for Knox. But, as I say if Sollecito’s passport has been taken from him then he is obviously not going to be leaving the country either,” Lyle Kercher, Meredith’s brother told reporters.

Sollecito was sentenced to 25 years and Knox to 28 years and six months for the murder of Kercher who shared a flat with the American in the Italian city of Perugia. Their lawyers have said they will appeal the verdict.
