American Amanda Knox making her first public appearance since being convicted in Italy for a second time.

Appearing on "Good Morning America" in New York, Knox told ABC that she would fight the verdict until the very end.

She said the decision was "not right" and "not fair."

An Italian court on Thursday convicted her and her former Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito of murdering Briton Meredith Kircher in 2007.

The decision reversed an earlier appeal judgment.

At a news conference in Florence, Kircher's brother, Lyle, said he was glad to see the justice system take a step back and re-evaluate the case.

"If anything I would argue it is a system that is strong enough to look at itself and say 'actually, I think we need to double check and triple check decisions and evidence that has been put in front of us and whatever that decisions is, that's the right one'."
