Me playing the organ at All Saint's Church in Childs Hill in the north of London.
The organ was built in the early 1950s by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd to replace an earlier instrument by Gray and Davison and is the 2 rank Miniatura model. The specification reads:
PEDAL
Bourdon 16'
Flute 8'
GREAT
Bourdon 16'
Open Diapason 8'
Rohr Gedeckt 8'
Principal 4'
Fifteenth 2'
SWELL
Open Diapason 8'
Rohr Gedeckt 8'
Flute 4'
Piccolo 2'
For this first video I am playing the hymn 'Let the beauty of Jesus' which makes use of the full Diapason chorus.
Many thanks to the church officials for allowing me access to this wonderful Compton organ.
