Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - How do I avoid hurting a co-signer During Bankruptcy? - I unfortunately have to file bankruptcy, I can't afford 700 amonth in interest payments anymore. I have contacted a lawyer and will be meeting him this week. I am getting all of my debts in order for him, but I have one that I am worried about. All of my debts are mine alone except for one. I have a $10,000 loan that my mother co-signed for me. I bought the bankruptcy for dumbies book and it says that creditor could potentially go after her. She is at her financial limits also in this economy so she can't afford to pay for my screw ups. How can I help protect her from these creditors? I can not afford this loan anymore, so just paying it is not an option. -
