I had a previous bankruptcy (3 years old), so I had my father co-sign for the lease. He has amazingly excellent credit!! I drove away with the car, and they were doing to overnight the papers to him for his signature. I was so excited. Today, I called them to let them know that my father has not yet received the papers. They told me that the deal is on hold with the bank, because of MY bankruptcy. First of all, I thought the deal was approved, since they let me leave with the car. This totally does not make sense to me, especially since I have a co-signer with great credit. Isn't that what a co-signer is for?? They said the financial director is going to negotiate with the bank tomorrow and then they'll know more. Has anyone EVER heard of this happening? -
