"No war, no sanctions" Iranians chant, welcoming Foreign Minister

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will return to a heroes' welcome in his home country, after clinching a historic deal with world powers in Geneva.

The deal curbs the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for initial sanctions relief.

Crowds at Mehrabad Airport on Sunday are hailing minister as a hero.

Together they chanted "No war, no sanctions, no insults and no submission."

A Tehran resident shared her view on the deal:

(SOUNDBITE) (Farsi) TEHRAN RESIDENT, MS. GERANMAYEH, SAYING:

"The greatest benefit will be peace, the message of peace which was delivered, and the economy is also important. And I believe that we will see progress in every field in the future."
