Amtrak authorities are currently baffled after a train, which was originally supposed to head to New York ended up coming to a stop in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Most drivers get lost from time to time but you don't expect that to happen to public trains and buses. Amtrak authorities are currently baffled after a train, which was originally supposed to head to New York ended up in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

The Keystone train had departed from Harrisburg. What remains somewhat of a mystery is how the train got on the wrong track.

It’s currently believed the operator missed a signal on the route. The train reportedly traveled down the wrong track for several miles before the crew even realized a major mistake had been made.The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority assisted in the corrective efforts, helping the crew return to the original city and getting passengers on another train bound for New York City.

An Amtrak spokesperson stated “An investigation was launched and the crew has been held out of work until they can be fully debriefed and additional training can be conducted.”

It was also said that at no time during the journey were any of the riders in danger. In total there were about 130 passengers onboard and understandably not too many were thrilled about the time consuming mishap.
