A single mother from Australia who turned down an older man's marriage proposal has been slapped with a $200,000 bill from the rejected suitor for expenses incurred during his hapless four year-long courtship.

The the financially secure and kind-hearted, if gullible, 65-year-old Bruce Dusting began a friendship with Melbourne dance teacher Marie Lacombe, 42, after becoming her student the school for which she worked.

She says they never did the horizontal tango and friendzoned him from the beginning, through Dusting harbored deeper affections.

Dusting says he once got an emergency phone call from Lancome in the hospital. It turned out she had just got a boob job and tummy tuck—which he ended up paying for.

He also funded expensive shopping trips for the Melbourne woman, but she says she never asked for any of it.

When the old man asked for her hand, she told him to scram. He then handed sent her the detailed, itemised bill for the two hundred grand he spent on her.

Dusting says the hurt and stress he feels means he'll never dance again. Here's hoping Mr Dusting one day gets his groove back.
