ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

Pop rock band Lawson held a signing for their newly released debut album "Chapman Square / Chapter II" at the HMV flagship store in London's Oxford Street on Monday (21 October).

Hundreds of fans arrived to meet the group, which consists of lead singer Andy Brown, bass guitarist Ryan Fletcher, lead guitarist Joel Peat and drummer Adam Pitts.

The band has garnered a steady popularity since the release of their debut single "When She Was Mine" released in May 2012, and are currently at number 3 in the UK charts with the single "Juliet".

The band had an unusual approach to naming the band. Andy Bell explained "Yeah, yeah, the name Lawson is named after a good friend of mine, a guy who saved my life actually when I was around 20 years of age, about 6 years ago. Doctor Lawson is the surgeon who removed the brain tumour that I had so he saved my life and I obviously have everything to thank him for we all thought we'd name the band
