Man puts man part in toaster; London Fire Brigade rescues him

Views 6

An elderly man stuck his penis into a toaster and had to call the London Fire Brigade to get it out. The news comes with a list of other calls of "trapped or stuck" body parts made to the rescue workers since 2010.

Very little is known about the man who somehow thought it was a good idea to put his delicate member into the kitchen appliance. We can only speculate as to what was running through his mind. Was it the gentle warmth emitted as the unit was cooling that attracted the man to its metal slot? Or was it the firm grip of the wire jaws controlled by the side lever that tempted the curious senior? And what setting did he use? Lightly crisp around the edges or burnt so black that if set it any higher you'd have to scrape off the crust?

In any case, what went it failed to come out and the man had to shuffle to a phone to call for help. The firefighters arrived, on the taxpayers' tab, mind, and they successfully removed the finger from the socket. Did it come out striped like a zebra? We will never know.

Reports also said that in the past three years, London's finest were also called for:

• 18 incidents involving children with their heads stuck in potties or toilet seats
• Five incidents involving people's hands being stuck in shredders
• 79 incidents involving people being trapped in handcuffs
• Nine instances of men with rings stuck on their penises
• Four incidents where people had their hands stuck in blenders
• 17 incidents involving children with their fingers stuck in toys, including one with Lego stuck on his finger.
Some officers believe that a spike in the number of calls requesting help for being caught in handcuffs increased after the publication of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
