Police in Texas have freed at least three elderly men who were being held against their will in a house in Houston, Texas.
The men were found living in a filthy room with double locks on the doors, one chair, and no toilet or beds. Police said they appeared malnourished.
Officials said the men were lured into the home with promises of beer and cigarettes and were then forced to hand over their veterans benefit checks.
The men aged 80, 74 and one in his 50's were taken to a nearby hospital.
Police say a suspect is in custody, but no charges have been filed.
