This is a page dedicated to "The Village of Shadows" ('Le Village des ombres' - original title), the very promising first feature film of the French director Fouad Benhammou. <br /><br />This is a prime example of the 'fantastique' genre. A dark atmospheric thriller, devoid of blood or guts, playing entirely on the mood of this slow unveiling of a sombre malediction tale. <br />If you loved "The Haunting" and/or "The Others", you'll enjoy this.
