Nans & Nat are a new electro-pop band in Montreal. True to the electro-pop name, they couple analog synthesizer sounds and basslines with pop beats and vocals to give an original sound that is powerful, melodic and danceable. Their objectives are to bring melody back to electro music and vocals, in the same vein as Hot Chip and La Roux, while using hard and funky beats and guitar riffs borrowed from hip hop and pop like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. <br /><br />Nans Bortuzzo & Nat Sukashi have an unusual approach to writing songs: although they live only a few blocks away from each other, they choose to work separately and alone while composing a song "together." They take turns recording and then sending their contributions to each other by e-mail, building up the song piece by piece.
