Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine donate $70 million to USC.

Hip-hop icon, Dr. Dre and American music producer Jimmy Iovine have teamed up for a really good cause.

The duo has decided to donate a whopping $70 million to the University of Southern California.

The money will go towards a new academy that is going to teach students everything they need to know about breaking into the constantly evolving music industry. The school is slated to open in the fall of 2014, and the first class will have 25 students.

The structure will fittingly be named the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation. Students will be able to obtain an undergraduate degree from the facility.

Another generous celebrity, Angelina Jolie recently joined forces with Robert Procop to create a fine jewelry line. Proceeds from the sale of the extravagant items go to building schools for girls in areas with volatile conditions.

Once a piece is sold, the profits are donated to Education Partnerships for Children of Conflicts.
