A barber is charged for allegedly throwing a fatal punch at a co-worker.
Barber shops aren't considered violent places.
Recently, however, a physical altercation broke out between two barbers in Staten Island, New York. According to reports, the two men had been arguing over a pair of broken clippers and things escalated outside of their work at Forever Fridays barbershop.
An all-out fistfight broke out and one hard punch knocked a 22-year-old hair cutter named Mike to the ground where he struck his head. Mike passed away one week after the tragic incident in the hospital.
His 31-year-old co-worker has been arrested, accused of throwing the punch. Police authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
In another recent report, a soccer referee was killed by a fatal punch, allegedly from a 17-year-old goalie, who was upset about a penalty call. (2,9,1) A neuropsychologist at the University of Utah spoke about the dangers of a single punch stating “Assaults happen every day in our country, and an assault to the head or neck can cause serious injury, including death.”
