Edward Cruz has worked with A-list celebrities and top models, including Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Cindy Crawford, and Anna Wintour, but today he is going to show us how any girl on the street can achieve the perfect spring look using a few Make Up For Ever classics and their new colorful Aqua line, which is perfect for the season.Aqua offers fresh bold colors that are waterproof and long-lasting, which means you won't need to re-apply.Aqua is perfect for a night on the town or a day at the beach.Edward began by applying Make Up For Ever's Liquid Lift Foundation #10 to give me even, clean looking skin.He applied Liquid Lift with a dual fiber brush… which contains natural and synthetic bristles… to help diffuse the foundation, leaving a polished dewy complexion.It's worth mentioning that the transition between winter and spring can often ‘shake up' your skin, leaving you with uneven dry patches, so it's important to find a great moisturizer that compliments your skin.After a quick dab of concealer Edward set my foundation using his favorite product, Make Up For Ever's Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder (#120).For the cheeks, Edward decided to slowly build the color, because as he loves to say, ‘less is more.'He used a circular motion to apply Make Up For Ever's Sculpting Powder Blush to create a softer effect, helping to avoid any harsh lines.He applied Sculpting Blush #18 and #20 to slightly contour my face and give it a sun kissed glow.Make Up For Ever's Shine On Powder #4 was used to highlight the cheekbones, separating the eye from the check.Edward emphasizes the importance of using the right tool to apply your makeup because the proper brush will give you ‘more bang for your buck.'So, next time, skip the applicator provided by the makeup brand, and find the right tool… just remember to maintain and wash your brushes regularly.For the eyes, Edward applied Aqua Cream #54, which is a pearly lilac shade that he believes goes perfect with any skin tone.He used a stiff brush, slowly layering the color from the lash line to the crease, but he said for this cream shadow, using your finger is just fine.Just remember, Aqua Cream is smudge proof and won't crease, but it sets quickly so you've got to work fast.Because color is hot for Spring, Edward added a touch of Aqua Cream #53, which is a light lagoon green, to the inner corners of my eye to brighten up the look.Next, Edward used the new waterproof Aqua Smoky Lash to open up my eyes and make them pop.He used a q-tip to gently apply mascara to the lower lashes… a fun technique he uses to avoid clumps.Edward chose to skip the eyeliner, keeping my face subtle and fresh.And, for the lips, Edward dabbed Aqua Rouge #18 to complete my spring 2013 look.Aqua Rouge is a double-ended lip color that provides a long lasting lip stain with an eye catching shine.One end contains a matte stain, while the other adds a layer of clear glossy moisture.After Edward brushed up my brows to help frame my face, I was good to go!
