STORY: Pakistan's cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan toppled off a makeshift elevator while about to climb onto a stage during election campaigning in the eastern city of Lahore on Tuesday.

Khan and three others fell at least 15 to 16 feet as he was being lifted to a tall stage.

TV footage showed Khan being rushed towards a vehicle, blood covering his face and his eyes closed, apparently unconscious.

Reports later said Khan was not seriously injured and was reported to be in a stable condition in hospital, according to local media.
