STORY: Actor Robert Downey Jr. rang the opening bell on Tuesday (April 30) to help celebrate the premiere of his new film "Iron Man 3."

Downey was joined by Marvel Entertainment executives and Iron Man as he stood atop the platform at the New York Stock Exchange.

"Iron Man 3" will be released in U.S. theaters on May 3rd.
