Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halki has survived a car bombing in capital of Damascus.

A Hezbollah controlled Lebanese TV station reported that his convoy was targeted in Mazzeh district in the south-west of the city in what is believed to be a suicide attack.

Security services have blocked off the blast zone.
