Justin Bieber gives up his pet monkey.

Justin Bieber is a young powerhouse, having almost any possession a human could possibly want. However the pop star recently lost a very special creature. Bieber has allowed his pet Capuchin monkey, named Mally to go to a new home.

The animal has been in the possession of Munich animal shelter since March, after Bieber couldn’t produce paperwork for Mally while in airport customs. Bieber has seemingly lost the fight for the monkey and has given up Mally, asking only for it to go to a good home.

The Federal Agency for Nature Conservation gets the final say in where Mally goes next, but animal authorities are hoping for a rescue center or specialized organization for primates rather than a zoo.

Bieber is no stranger to pet controversy. Shortly before the monkey incident, he had a cute little hamster named Pac.

In December of 2012, Bieber gave the tiny animal to a screaming fan at a concert. Pac was later reported to have passed away while in the fan’s care.
