Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, inaugurated Arif Hussain Shaheed Park in North Karachi.Speaking on the occasion, he said that for provision of facilities to the people efforts are being made to speedily complete various mega projects in Karachi.
He further pointed out that work is continuing on priority basis for the initiation of water supply and sewerage projects of K-IV and S-III as well as other projects. The Governor pointed out that the Karachi is the jugular vein of Pakistan and that its contribution for the country will increase further.
For the mega projects in the metropolis, Dr. Ishrat thanked the President, the Prime Minister and the chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain.
He said that when the public representatives apprised the President and the Prime Minister regarding the city's projects they gave patient hearing and despite economic challenges faced by the country these projects were given priority.
The Governor also thanked the sindh Chief Minister and the provincial government. He further stated that the Arif Hussain Shaheed Park is the result of personal efforts of provincial minister, Adil Siddiqui.
It has been set up on three acres land under the public-private partnership (PPP) mode. The Park consists of a mini zoo, a family park as well as a playland and a fish aquarium.
Provincial Minister, Adil Siddiqui, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, MNAs, MPAs were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
