An ambulance driver is saved by a passenger.

A man being transported to the hospital for cancer treatments saved the ambulance driver taking him there.

When the driver complained of feeling pins and needles in his arm, the passenger, Christian Nayet, took the wheel and rushed him to a hospital in a nearby town.

Doctors operated on the driver shortly after his arrival and later said the swift actions of Nayet may have saved his life.

Shortly after, another ambulance arrived to take Mr. Nayet to his appointment.

He said later, "I couldn't find the siren, but I managed to turn the lights on and told him to put his arm out the window to signal to the cars to let us pass."

Last year, in another table-turning event, a hiker with a broken leg saved the life of a California Highway Patrolman who arrived to rescue him.

While getting out of his helicopter, the officer was struck in the head by its blades.

Fortunately the hiker was a doctor and with the help of his friend was able to make it to the injured patrolman, stabilize him, and get him back into the chopper.
