Dutch police have arrested a former student of the British School in Leiden following online threats to go on a shooting rampage.

Schools were closed down in Leiden after the authorities failed to trace the source of the threat launched on internet forum 4chan.

Around 20 schools were closed and armed police were on site as a precaution.
