Jadro River is a small river which means life to our region. Length of the flow is only about 4.5 km, with an average discharge 9m ³ / s, but a strong spring Jadro, being used by city waterworks of Split, Trogir and Kastela, during his short pro watercourse fertilizes and brings life to this region for more then 2000 years.
Due to the absence of any contact with other waterways, in river Jadro have been developed a rare endemic species - soft mouth trout.
Because of its great importance and events in Croatian history it's being called Croatian Jordan.
The management of this river is of great importance for all the citizens of our region, and young people can contribute at least by keeping it clean while enjoying its beauty.
