They're still pulling bodies from the rubble of a seven-storey building that collapsed in western India on Thursday.

By 0630 GMT on Saturday search and rescue teams in Thane city had found at least 72 bodies.

They expect to find more as they sift through the wreckage.

They're also finding survivors.

As time goes on the hope that many more will be found alive grows dimmer.

Local residents say the building was mainly occupied by labourers.

A shortage of cheap homes in India has ignited an illegal construction boom.

Often developers use substandard materials and shoddy construction methods so they can offer rock-bottom rents to low-paid workers.
