Police believe a box of eyeballs belongs to pigs.
It's unsettling to see eyeballs detached from a body.
Kansas City Police recently responded to a call concerning a suspicious package that a gas station worker had found.
The female employee told officers that she was emptying the trash when she noticed a cardboard box which contained stickers reading “keep refrigerated.”
The woman opened the box and saw a cooler, which she also opened and that’s when she saw ice packs resting against a bag of eyeballs.
The medical examiner later determined the eyeballs were not human and most likely came from a pig.
Surveillance video showed two unidentified males dropping the box off at the gas station.
Last year, a man, taking his morning walk on Pompano Beach stumbled across a massive eyeball, approximately the size of a softball. He put it in a bag and contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The man stated "It was very, very fresh. It was still bleeding when I put it in the plastic bag."
Experts later determined the eyeball belonged to a swordfish.
