Buildings are engulfed in flames here in Australia's Victoria State, as fast-moving fires burn out of control.
Aircraft carrying water and scores of firefighting trucks have been brought in to fight the inferno, fanned by strong winds.
Local media said that firefighters are concerned that changes in the wind direction could cause the fire to spread, and some residents have chosen to evacuate.
In the town of Rockleigh, east of Adelaide, over 3,500 acres of grassland are burning out of control after breaking through containment lines.
More than 160 firefighters are battling that blaze.
So far no homes had been destroyed, though many local roads have been shut down.
