KSFN TV reports a 26 year old volunteer intern was killed at a central California animal preserve. The woman was attacked by an African lion, Wednesday afternoon. According to KMPH-TV, officers shot and killed the lion after responding to a call at the Sierra Cat Haven preserve near Fresno, CA. Reporter Liz Gonzalez tweeted, quoting a California Fish and Game official as saying, "This is rare, very rare. This is a situation where someone go too close to the lion."
