A New York State judge slapped down NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s ban on sugary drinks March 11. The ban, scheduled to take effect March 12, would have restricted the purchase of drinks over 16 ounces. The judge said the ban fizzed out because it had loopholes that "defeat the purpose."
