You may store future passwords in Google ring.

Where do you store your passwords? Can you imagine storing them in a ring?

Google has announced their design of a ring that can be used to log in to computer and online accounts instead of a password.

An engineer from Google who specializes in security, made the first public mention of the technology.

He compared using personal hardware to log into computer and online accounts, with our familiarity of accessing an ATM for banking purposes.

He further says that the ring would eliminate the danger of people using the same password for all of their accounts, or the need for writing down multiple passwords to remember them.

A USB key would be used for computer logins and a contactless chip would be used for mobile devices.

The FIDO alliance - a consortium working towards increasing the security of online authentication - is also pushing for the use of a password device.

What do you think? Would you use a USB key or a ring to log into your internet or computer accounts?
