As reported, the eccentric basketball star is claiming that his acquaintances in Rome are working hard, communicating with Vatican authorities to arrange a meeting between Rodman and the future pope.

Even though the conclave is still in the early proceedings of selecting the new church leader, Rodman wants to be at the top of the list when it comes to meeting him in person. He is very confident that the newly elected pope will be happy to entertain him, as he is slated to arrive in Rome on the night that conclave begins.

Rodman spoke to TMZ stating “I want to be anywhere in the world that I'm needed ... I want to spread a message of peace and love throughout the world.”

This isn’t Rodman’s only buzzworthy endeavor. He has also revealed his plans to return to North Korea to vacation with Kim Jong Un in August of 2013.
