ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

Huge crowds greeted the pregnant Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge as she visits the northeast of England on Tuesday (March 5).

Fresh back from her skiing holiday in the Swiss Alps, Kate, as she is popularly known, wore a brown Hobbs coat over her small baby bump.

The coat sold out within minutes when she first wore it during her solo tour of Liverpool a year ago.

Her arrival by helicopter was delayed by an hour and a half due to foggy weather conditions.

Kate's first stop was at a fishing heritage centre in Grimsby, where she was given a tour by local trawlermen and heard about environment issues surrounding fishing in the North Sea.

The Duchess will later visit fire and rescue services, where she will meet fire crews and young people on a personal development course who have been helped by The Prince's Trust.

For her final engagement, Kate will visit and officially open a school.
