The Burton US Open in Vail, CO marks the season's end for all Women's disciplines, as well as for the Men's Slopestyle in the World Snowboard Tour 2012/13. The best riders in the world are competing in both Halfpipe and Slopestyle from February 25th to March 2nd, including Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), Shaun White (USA), Ayumu Hirano (JPN), Mark McMorris (CAN), Peetu Piiroinen (FIN), Ståle Sandbech (NOR), Jamie Anderson (USA), Kelly Clark (USA), Elena Hight (USA), and many more.
Since the Burton US Open is a 6Star event, all riders have the chance to earn 1.000 World Snowboard Tour Points, and influence their Rankings last minute.
On Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd, the World Snowboard Tour offers a live webcast on www.worldsnowboardtour.com/webcast, broadcasting the Slopestyle and Halfpipe Finals.
For all female riders, the current season ends right here at the US Open, and the Women's World Snowboard Tour Slopestyle, Halfpipe and Overall Champion will be crowned. Additionally, the men's season sees another trophy chapter written in Vail. Sebastien Toutant was already crowned World Snowboard Tour Big Air Champion at the Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck. At the Burton US Open, the season's Slopestyle winner will be determined and will be awarded with the World Snowboard Tour Slopestyle Champion trophy.
